Privacy Policy

Futurely is a social media scheduling and publishing tool that allows users to connect their social media accounts, create and schedule content, and view performance insights across multiple platforms.

Account information

• Name, email address, and password (or login provider details) when you create a Futurely account.
• Workspace and team information, including roles and invited members.

Connected social media accounts

When you connect a social media account (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, YouTube), we collect and store:

• Access tokens and refresh tokens, used solely to publish content and retrieve insights on your behalf.
• Your account handle, profile picture, and platform user ID.
• Follower counts and public performance metrics (likes, comments, shares, views, reach, watch time) for content you post through the Service.

We do not access private messages, private account data, or any information beyond what is needed to publish content and display insights for the accounts you explicitly connect.

Content you create

• Captions, media (images and video), and scheduling details for posts you create in Futurely.
• Draft content, whether or not it is ever published.

Usage and technical data

• Log data, device and browser information, and general usage patterns within the Service, used to maintain and improve the product.

Payment information

• Billing details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.

We use the information we collect to:

• Publish content to the social media accounts you connect, at the times you schedule.
• Adapt captions and media formatting for each platform you select.
• Display performance insights and follower trends across your connected accounts.
• Operate team features such as approvals, roles, and notifications.
• Communicate with you about your account, including notifications you have enabled.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information or the content of your posts.

• Access tokens for connected accounts are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to the browser or client-side code.
• Data is stored using industry-standard hosting and database infrastructure with access controls limiting who can view or process it.
• We retain data for as long as your account is active. If a workspace is deleted, its data is marked for deletion and permanently removed after 7 days, except where retention is required by law.

We share information only:

• With the social media platforms you explicitly connect, in order to publish content and retrieve insights on your behalf.
• With service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g. hosting, database, and payment processing providers), under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing that service.
• If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Futurely, our users, or others.
• With third-party automation tools (such as Zapier) only where you have explicitly configured a webhook connection.

• You can disconnect any social media account at any time from your Accounts settings, which revokes our access to that platform.

• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at marcusnarhnortey@gmail.com.

• You can control notification preferences in Settings.
• Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

If you disconnect a social media account, we retain historical post and insights data associated with that account only as needed for your records within the Service, unless you request its deletion.

The Service is not directed at individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Where data is transferred outside your home country, we take steps to ensure it is protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
